MYWEBSPINE |
| Description |
Parametric Finite Element Model of the Instrumented
Lumbar Spine |
| Research & Development Teams |
ENSAM/LBM
(France) and IBV (Spain) |
| Development Period |
2002-2006 |
| Status |
Validated |
| Validation Level |
Level 3 (>30 failure cases; >100
success cases) |
| Type of validation |
In vivo, retrospective (>130 cases) and prospective
(in process).
Validations performed using sagittal X-rays of the patient's lumbar region.
|
| Scope of application |
Clinical simulations of implant surgeries for fractures,
spondylolistesis and spondyloarthosis, under most usual surgical manieuvres.
|
| Comments |
myWebSpine simulates the estimated implant surgery results,
by using a validated biomechanical model, in which anatomical and pathology
spine conditions, as well as implant resistance and configuration can be
defined. It is based on a parametric finite element model run in a simulation
server located at the LBM in Paris (France). |
